The B1 Preliminary (PET - Preliminary English Test) for schools digital exam is a computer-based version of the intermediate English exam in the Cambridge English exam program. This exam is aimed at young people and adults who want to demonstrate their English skills at a solid intermediate level. The B1 Preliminary exam consists of the following parts: reading and writing, listening and speaking. The exam format is identical to the B1 Preliminary exam, but the content of this exam variant is aimed more at a younger audience. 1. Speaking: In the oral part of the exam, candidates have a conversation with an examiner and another candidate. They must talk about various topics, exchange information and have short conversations. The focus is on the ability to make yourself understood in everyday situations. The B1 Preliminary Exam for Schools exam is roughly equivalent to the level of the intermediate school leaving certificate in terms of requirements and is also very suitable as preparation for this school leaving certificate. Successful graduates receive an internationally recognized certificate that confirms their language skills at the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and is identical to the B1 PET certificate.
