Service Description

The B2 First Digital exam is the computer-based version of the B2 First exam, an advanced English qualification in the Cambridge English Examination Programme. This exam is aimed at young people and adults who want to demonstrate their English language skills at an intermediate to advanced level. The B2 First exam consists of four parts: Reading and Applied English, Writing, Listening and Speaking. 1. Reading and Applied English: In this part, candidates must understand different types of texts such as newspaper articles, advertisements or narratives. They must also use grammatical structures and vocabulary correctly. The focus is on understanding and using language in different contexts. 2. Writing: Candidates must complete two writing tasks, which may include writing texts such as essays, letters, reports or reviews. The focus is on the ability to write clear, well-structured texts on a variety of topics. 3. Listening: The listening test assesses the understanding of spoken English in different contexts, such as conversations, lectures and radio reports. Candidates must demonstrate that they are able to understand specific information and the main points. 4. Speaking: In the oral part of the exam, candidates have a conversation with an examiner and another candidate. They must discuss various topics, exchange opinions and put forward arguments. The focus is on the ability to speak fluently and spontaneously and to express one's own opinion. The B2 First exam aims to document advanced English skills and give candidates the opportunity to use their English in academic and professional contexts. This exam is often taken for application purposes or offered in company training courses, including in preparation for an assignment abroad. Successful graduates receive an internationally recognized certificate confirming their language skills at the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
