Service Description

The C1 Advanced (CAE - Certificate in Advanced English) exam is an advanced English exam in the Cambridge English Examination Program. This exam is aimed at candidates who want to demonstrate their English language skills at a high level. The C1 Advanced exam consists of four parts: Reading and Applied English, Writing, Listening and Speaking. 1. Reading and Applied English: In this part, candidates must understand a variety of texts, such as newspaper articles, academic articles and literary works. They must use grammatical structures and vocabulary precisely and flexibly. The focus is on understanding complex, unfamiliar texts and using English in different contexts. 2. Writing: Candidates must complete two writing tasks, which may include writing essays, reports, proposals or reviews. The focus is on the ability to write clear, well-structured and detailed texts on a variety of topics. 3. Listening: The listening test assesses the understanding of spoken English in different contexts, such as conversations, lectures and radio broadcasts. Candidates must demonstrate that they are able to accurately extract specific information, opinions and attitudes from spoken texts. 4. Speaking: In the oral part of the exam, candidates have a conversation with an examiner and another candidate. They must discuss various topics, exchange opinions, put forward arguments and give detailed explanations. The focus is on the ability to speak fluently and spontaneously and to convey complex ideas. A C1 Advanced certificate documents excellent English skills and enables the language to be used at a high level in academic and professional environments. Successful graduates receive an internationally recognized certificate that confirms their language skills at the C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This exam is often taken in the upper secondary school as preparation for the Abitur or a stay abroad. Many universities at home and abroad recognize this certificate as proof of sufficient English skills to begin studying.
